What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy involves working with a trained Nutritional Therapist to interpret your test results and identify dietary changes that can lead to improved health. Our Nutritional Therapists have the expertise to help you use food to enhance your health and support bodily functions.

What Happens During an Initial Consultation?
In your initial consultation, the nutritional therapist's goal is to understand you as an individual and provide personalised dietary, lifestyle, and sometimes supplement recommendations. Regarding allergy and intolerance testing, the therapist will explore your symptoms, their duration, and severity. They will also inquire about your daily diet, any problematic foods, and overall health and well-being. This information, combined with your test results, enables the therapist to offer tailored advice on making optimal food choices and dietary adjustments.
In some cases, particularly with complex or chronic conditions, further investigation may be necessary. The therapist might suggest completing a nutritional therapy questionnaire and scheduling a follow-up consultation. This detailed questionnaire covers health, lifestyle, symptoms, activity habits, and goals and includes a 3-day food diary. The therapist uses this comprehensive information, along with the latest scientific research, to create a customised support program.
All the information you provide is kept confidential, adhering to the Data Protection Act 1998 and the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) code of conduct.
What Happens After an Initial Consultation?
After your initial consultation, your nutritional therapist will email you a Nutrition Guide. You may also receive additional resources, such as:
- Information sheets
- Recipes
- Supplement recommendations.
Is It Possible to Have Further Consultations?
Absolutely. As you start to implement the changes recommended by your nutritional therapist, ongoing consultations can be highly beneficial. These follow-ups help ensure that the outcomes you’re experiencing are optimal and that any necessary adjustments are made to continue improving your health. Maintaining a continuous relationship with your nutritional therapist provides accountability and support, which can be crucial for the success of your new lifestyle.
At Healthy Stuff, we recognise that life circumstances can change, making it easy to fall back into old habits. With your nutritional therapist's support, your plan can adapt to these changes, ensuring that your improved health is sustained over the long term.
